The Story Behind the Name

Blue Spruce Emporium is named in honor of my dad, who passed away in 2023. He had a quiet, generous habit of planting baby blue spruce trees — tending them carefully and giving them away to others. Over the years, I planted many of those trees myself. Now every time I see one, I think of his love, his patience, and the way he poured himself into things meant to outlast him.

This shop is my version of that. Every piece I make is meant to root itself in someone's home, mark something that matters, and last long after the moment has passed.

About Me

Hi! I am Melissa. I am a maker at heart, always looking for ways to create meaning things with my hands. Faith and family are the center of who I am, and those core values inspire the art and gifts I design. I love working with natural materials like wood, bringing Scripture and biblical themes into everyday life in a way that feels both beautiful and lasting.
When I am not creating in my workshop, you will probably find me digging into Scripture, celebrating the biblical feasts or spending time outdoors where I feel closest to God. Creating is my way of weaving all this passions together and sharing them with others.
